An Odd Man’s Odyssey: December 2025
A New Year and New Stories
We’ve made it, dear reader,
We’re in 2026, and now it’s time to choose what we’re going to do now?
Last year, I released two books and an audiobook (both of which are available using the links on my bookshelf page wink), and this year I hope to release more books. I also want to attend more events.
For a writer like me, there are a ton of different ways to approach publishing and even writing. So far, I’ve followed a very classic fashion of writing a book, getting it printed, and tossing it out. As you may know, dear reader, this has worked out pretty well. God has blessed me with good readers, and I pray he blesses you this new year, too.

Beyond that, however, there are other methods. Websites where stories are sometimes published before they are fully printed for free so that they can build or garner support beforehand.
I’ve considered doing that with a new project I’m calling “Otherworld,” but I haven’t fully decided yet.
By the way, for those looking forward to the continuation of Em’s adventure and the second book of the seventh-layer saga, I have not forgotten it. I won’t be moving onto these other projects until I at least deliver that for all of you, so don’t worry. Hopefully, I can have that story in your hands in the first half of 2026; more news on that to follow in another post.
For the new ways I might try publishing, there are also a lot of advantages provided to writers who publish using exclusive programs like Kindle Unlimited. So far, I’ve avoided these because I want to make my books as available as possible. Though with these smaller test stories, I have considered trying out an exclusive term to see if it sells while leaving my main projects free.
I’ve also been looking into different editing, cover, and marketing options. My biggest limiter for publishing isn’t time or content, it’s the hurdle we all face… money.

Your local author isn’t rich, and these fundamental book parts don’t come cheap, however, there are many resources and avenues. So this odd man is considering some odd solutions. Fear not, I’m not going to compromise quality, I just want to refine my method for getting you the best stories I can the most efficient way possible.
That means I have to be willing to grow and experiment.
So tell me, dear reader, now that you know what new things I may try this year. What new will you do in 2026?
Ever odd and ever hopeful,
C.R. Ware
