Dear reader, it’s been 316 days since I last published a book, which is way longer than I expected.

Dread Reckoning comes out today on all platforms! Woohoo!

It did take me longer to get it there than I expected, I’ll admit. See, Dread Reckoning and All We Have to Remember were originally part of one book, as many of you know. So, you may be wondering, “What took so long?”

Well, many things. The crux of which may be my second novel: Letters of a Wind Walker. As my second, I wanted to try things when getting it out there that I hadn’t tried, or even known were options, with All We Have to Remember.

That’s both for online marketing to try to sell books, as well as editing. It was the latter that I think slowed me down most.

Experience is well known to be the best teacher, and while I’m no old sage, only being one year+ into having published books, I’ve still learned a lot in that one year, which made me go back over Dread Reckoning again and again to try to give you the best story I can.

And, you know what, I think it was well worth it. I do think that the Dread Reckoning you can find today is twice the book it would have been if I’d not tried to apply all those lessons I learned.

Of course, the best person to judge that is you. So please buy a copy. I hope you enjoy it, and please leave a review with what you loved and where I can improve so that my next story can be all the better.

I am hopeful that now that I know these lessons, and that I’ve begun to apply them to my writing, it won’t be another 316 days before I publish once again. However, I’m not so naive as to make you that promise.

What I will promise is that I’m not giving up. This is the race I’ve been called to run; it is my Odyssey. So, I’ll keep going with my prayer being “God, please give me direction, and what I need to walk this path. God, give me voice to speak into the storm of life, your word. God, give me the strength to stay on the path you have called me to walk, now and forever.”
